For this assignment you will write an argumentative research paper

• Topics you may pick from (you may argue either side of the debate):
  • The Cost of College Textbooks
  • Standardized testing for K-12 students in Florida
  • US efforts to spy on allies
  • Preventing Future Mass Shootings through gun control
  • Providing free education to children in the US illegally
  • Providing a free College Education to all US citizens
  • Unvaccinated students in the public school system
  • Government limits on the size of sugary beverages sold in schools
  • Another topic that you send to the instructor for approval 10 days before deadline

Submission Format:

• Your research paper must be 3-4 pages, typed, double-spaced, in 12 point font, and in APA format.  Please look to module 7 for more details on APA.
• Make an argument about your topic. This argument must be clearly stated in a working thesis statement.  All body paragraphs must be focused and organized, clearly relating back to your thesis.
• Research sources appropriate to your topic, and effectively use those sources as evidence to support and prove your thesis. You must use at least 5 sources. You may not use Wikipedia.
• Cite all sources using APA Format. Your paper must include in text citations as well as a reference page. The majority of the paper’s content needs to be original work. Once again, look to module 7 for more details on APA.
