| Report Format | · Students are required to form a group consisting of 3-4 members.
· Doctor approval is required for the selection of the company. · Team report should be minimum of 6000 words in length. · The cover page must include full names of all members, IDs and a title. Both the cover page and the content page as well as appendices are counted as part of the word limit. · The group leaders are required to submit a soft copy (word.doc) via Turnitin – Blackboard. The system will automatically show this information to faculty when viewing the submission, but Turnitin will not retain the information. The threshold applied to the similarity index is less than 20%. · Presentations will be assessed individually; hence each group member is responsible to prepare and present certain slides that exhibit your contribution to the group project. There will be a 10-minute question-and-answer session following each main presentation. This part will also be graded. Each student will be evaluated based on the quality of their understanding and contribution and will be graded out of 10% (individual evaluation). |

GROUP PROJECT DESCRIPTION:
PART I: REPORT- 20 Marks [9-10 pages in all, Times New Roman 12 single space – excluding references and cover page]
Go through the following steps with the company:
- Conduct some research about the company and its product/service lines through its website and other reliable web resources. Cite your sources in references, using APA citation.
- Write a 3-5 page analytical report (no bullet points please) to describe and analyze the story of the company. Include a PESTLE analysis to identify key factors present in their general external environment. You may add visuals to illustrate or support your analysis.
Make sure to include the following details into the report:
- Name and origin of the company.
- Founder and his/her story- their core business idea/concept and leadership qualities (or style).
- Mission and vision- based on available information.
- Products and added value- what makes them special/unique.
- Customer segments- who are their current/targeted customer base.
- Competition- briefly analyze using your knowledge of Porter’s model.
- Markets it operates in- your analysis of their target markets.
- Organization- what is the structure of the firm, present organizational chart if available.
- Key financial figures- key financial indicators and trends of their business performance.
- Future plans- projections as based on available information.
- Define the organization’s key competitive advantage by doing a SWOT analysis.
- If your group was the top management team of this company (CEO, CFO and so on), consider the key challenges/current condition facing the company now. What would be some of the strategic decisions you would make for the organization, for the next 3 years? Provide clear reasons and arguments behind these decisions. Be specific in your response and relate them to management/business concepts learnt in the course- about leadership, strategy and team building. You may like to use some academic resources to make business specific recommendations, to strengthen your work.
- Include a professional executive summary at the beginning of your report- written in no more than 250 words.

- There will be a 5% penalty for every day late. No submissions will be accepted after the deadlines. Assignment MUST be submitted before the due date. There will be NO exceptions.
- To ensure the submission is submitted before the deadline, kindly submit your assignment much earlier to avoid bottleneck in the system.
- Be reminded that Turnitin will need 24 hours to generate the similarity index for 2nd submission and onwards of the same assignment.

- If you use text from the textbook/case study, please make sure you paraphrase it in a way that fits with your overall discussion. Please put an appropriate citation to make it explicit that you are using information from the sources.
