Final Integrative Paper [20% of the course grade] (Meets CSLO #1, 3, 4 and 5)
This assignment requires that you write a paper on Leadership and Group Dynamics. Using key
concepts and one (or combination) of the models/frameworks or theories from the course, describe
how executives should approach leadership and group dynamics. You should reference cases,
readings, videos, and instructor’s resources from the course. The purpose of the project is to
provide you with an opportunity to reexamine your thinking on the leadership and group dynamics
constructs as well as apply some of the concepts and models/frameworks for leadership and
organizational effectiveness.
An excellent paper will combine a rich description of the
organization and a solid understanding of academic and professional prescriptions. At minimum
your paper (10 -12 pages) should focus on just ONE of the following theoretical areas (from KIM
12th ed. chapters):
• Groups and Teams Formation, Development, and Effectiveness (Eliminating
Dysfunctions)
• Managing Conflict and Negotiations
• Decision Making
• Organizational Trust
If you have another idea for this project related to a Leadership & Group Dynamics topic, run it
by the instructor for approval first. Note: if one of these topics is of interest to you, but we have
not covered it in our weekly schedule, read ahead to learn more about this topic. Due Date: Week
